Update for Samsung Galaxy M52 5G

Introduction

There are no less than four models of the Samsung Galaxy * 52, and we have advertised three in the A-series. In our quest to complete that list, we will now show you the Galaxy M52 5G - another budget-friendly alternative that misses out on some A-level features but still comes with a powerful 5G chipset, 120Hz AMOLED. display, heavy cameras, and large battery.

The M52 5G is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G 5G SoC (similar to the A52s 5G), so you'll be getting better class performance, the latest gen connectivity, and better battery life, an area where the 5,000mAh power pack certainly helps (4,500mAh for models A). The M series can have 120Hz screens, too, and the M52 5G's 6.7-inch AMOLED is also larger than the 6.5-inch A trio - the bigger the better, some say.

In the photography department, Samsung threw away a 5MP deep camera, which no one could dispute. Don't worry - the 5MP 'macro' unit still exists. More importantly, there is a 64MP main camera and 12MP ultrawide, as well as a single 32MP selfies.

Other agreements had to be made to fit the budget, naturally. Lack of IP rating is really a challenge (As are IP67-certified), and the main speaker is undoubtedly less than stereo set for high-end phones. Whether you can call the M52 set-aside fingerprint sensor pro or con compared to the ones shown below in As, is entirely up to you.

Samsung Galaxy M52 5G unboxing

Update for Samsung Galaxy M52 5G

The launch of the Galaxy M52 5G is compatible with other Samsung mid-range. A two-piece white cardboard box has a picture of a phone printed on the lid, and the name of the phone above it.

A solid transition from a clearly designed model with a battery-first to lightweight in your pocket and easy on your pinky if you hold it with one hand than most competitors. Even Samsung's Samsung A52s 5G weighs 16g and is mil's thickness, all the while having a smaller display and lower battery power.

The M52 5G comes in the same space as the previous one, and it is not surprising, considering that it uses a 6.7-inch screen size. The new display, however, supports 120Hz refresh rate - more on that on the next page.

With a punch-hole selfie camera and standard bezels, the M52 5G has an indistinct face. It's not bad at all, it's not special or it doesn't stand out in any way.

Inside the box, an unpleasant surprise awaits - the charger is only rated at 15W while the M52 5G can take up to 25W. There is a USB-A-to-C cable installed in the box, and that's about it.

Similar to the A52s 5G, the M52 5G comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on its display, an upgrade over the GG3 + on the M51. To upgrade the IP, you will still need to get an A-line phone, however - the M52 5G is not limited to shutting down against objects.

While the display side is glass, the back panel of the phone is plastic - so were the M51, as well as the A52 bunch. Unlike the A-series counterparts who get the best and most comfortable snow, the one on the M52 5G is shiny and will happily collect fingerprints. Samsung has tried to spice up the pattern with fine lines, but it almost seems we like the solid color of the M51 more than that.

Having said that, we are reviewing the Blazing Black variant, and that may be related to our lack of enthusiasm for the look of the phone. The blue or white options look very fun.

The camera island in the upper left corner holds three cameras now, a depth sensor is lost along the way from M51 to M52. It’s an unnecessary assembly, with three straight-paced cameras and a LED flash on the side. We may think that some people will be disturbed by its seemingly baseless position, but we are trying to be better than ourselves.

Unlike the M51 and its almost airtight camera collection, the one on the M52 5G is less transparent due to significantly reduced body stiffness.
