Lenovo Halo comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen
Phones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (SM8450) are not out of the door yet and talk has already begun with phones with the fastest chipset - Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ (SM8475). The famous Evan Blass leak provides details of the Lenovo “Halo”, which may be one of the first machines to use the new chip.
Lenovo sapcifcation
We heard rumors that Qualcomm plans to shift part of the 8 Gen 1 production segment to TSMC, mid-season upgrades to the current chip. Seeing how Dimensity 9000 beat Snapdragon and Exynos 2200 at Geekbench, despite using the same CPU hardware, promises to improve flag performance in early 2022.
Note that "Halo" is not a fan of Legion Duel 2 (a code called "Diablo"). It still has all the functionality of a gaming phone, however. In addition to the powerful chipset, it will have a faster display, larger battery, faster charging and smaller charging on the camera door.
Display
The 6.67 ”1080p + display is allegedly using a P-OLED panel (i.e. from the LG) with a revision of 144 Hz and a touch rate of 300 Hz. Note the punch hole selfie camera (16 MP sensor) - that means setting aside the exit camera as in the Legions, suggesting that this may be sold as a standard product instead of a gaming phone.
Camera
However, the Lenovo “Halo” will have 50 MP rear camera, 13 MP ultra wide and 2 MP supported. The Legion Duel 2 and 2 Pro have a 64 MP main camera (with a 1 / 1.32 sensor ”and an Ultra wide 16 MP, so the" Halo "will not be a camera-focused phone. suggests that this is not a toy phone.
Battery
It will measure less than 8 mm in size with a 5,000 mAh battery inside (by comparison, Duel 2 Pro and 2 Pro measuring 9.9 mm in size and 5,500 mAh battery). Charging capacity is listed as 68W, although that may vary between Chinese and international versions.
Storage
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chip will be paired with 8/12/16 GB of DDR5 RAM and 128/256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage (it would be amazing if there is no 512 GB option).
The price of Lenovo "Halo" is anyone's guess right now as the phone won't be disclosed until Q3 - that's half a year left.
